Bill Conn - Composer / Producer
Los Angeles-based composer Bill Conn creates scores for film, television, and interactive media. His music is a modern orchestral sound, fusing elements of classical, rock, electronic, and sound design to create a score that enhances both the emotional and visual experience of the audience.
He got his start in composing music for film when asked to join Academy Award winning composer Hans Zimmer’s team at Media Ventures. He worked directly with Zimmer on such films as "Gladiator" and "Prince Of Egypt" as well as with other Media Venture composers including Harry Gregson-Williams on "Shrek" and Jeff Rona on "Chicago Hope".
After a number of fruitful years at Media Ventures, Bill left and has gone on to score a variety of film and television projects including top rated show "Ripley’s Believe It Or Not", feature film "Kate’s Addiction" (on HBO and Cinemax), as well as working on composer teams for "Science of Star Wars with George Lucas" (Discovery Channel) and "Cousteau: Ocean Adventures" (PBS).
In the area of audio production, Bill's company Conn Artist Music Group, has become a “one-stop-shop” for new media projects. Bill has supervised the music, sound, and voice-over production for over 300 of today’s hottest celebrities including Brittney Spears, D12, Usher, Chuck D, Beyonce, Anna Nicole-Smith and William Shatner. He has produced content for such entities as Universal Vivendi, Cingular, Samsung, and Virgin Mobile. His productions have generated over 3.5 million in sales.
Throughout his career, Bill has remained current with all things musical. He is a classically trained pianist as well as a graduate of both Berklee College of Music and the Grove School of Music in composition and arranging.
